DIY Total loss or MSD TL upgrade box 270USD?

Cool, Thanks! I think this will work for me. I just wanted to see what went where. I just got a stator from a GP760 and I am wiring it up in a 701 electrical box.

Best Intake grate/ ride plate combo

I am running a Worx WR201 grate and a stock ride plate that has grooves cut in it, kind of like the Riva "Groovy" ride plate. I really like this combo! It hooks up great and no more porposing.

DIY Total loss or MSD TL upgrade box 270USD?

If anybody out there is looking for the parts to do this, I saw this on flebay https://www.ebay.com/itm/Yamaha-Wave-Venture-Raider-GP-760-electrical-box-CDI-64X-stator-Flywheel-ECU/232997508171 Not a bad deal considering it has the ebox and some wiring with it. I had already picked up a...

DIY Total loss or MSD TL upgrade box 270USD?

So, one of the features of this ignition that I thought was interesting, that I have not seen mentioned, unless i missed it, is that you can program two different timing curves, and switch between them. Has anybody that is setup with this used this feature?

The blue and orange is because I am a Denver Broncos fan (I know they suck right now, but I was born and raised in CO, so I think it is state law...lol). The purple F/As came with the ski. thinking about powder coating them blue or orange. Would look a lot better if I put a TNT chamber on ;-)

DIY Total loss or MSD TL upgrade box 270USD?

Cool, thank for the info! I am definitely going to setup my skis with this over the off season. I will probably keep the charging on the WB2 (the one everybody else rides), and setup the WB1, which all mine, as total loss.

DIY Total loss or MSD TL upgrade box 270USD?

So, I am thinking about doing this on both my ’97 WB2 and ’96 WB1, but I have a few questions. For the WB1, I would like to use my existing E-box, because I already have it setup with the JSS relay terminal relocation and the OCD bilge pump wire harness (and I don’t want to have to buy a 760...

    Picked Up this Blaster, Randomly.

Nice find!! The pipe is worth $600 - $750. Even seized, the motor can be parted for $300-$500, depending on condition. Great winter project!!

    Which hooker?

Thanks, I keep an eye out for one.

    Which hooker?

So, I took the blaster out for the first time since making several mods, and it ran great. Especially mid to top end. Don't get me wrong, bottom end was good, no noticeable lags or anything, but didn't hit quite as hard as I would like, especially jumping off wakes. Right now, the ski is...

    Aluminum Impeller seal?

No set screw on this one. Think I am just going to use the rubber seal. I have used them before and had no problems. Thanks for the input.

    Aluminum Impeller seal?

One of the upgrades I am doing on my blaster this off season is installing a little lower pitched impeller. The Solas impeller I have came with an aluminum seal and a rubber seal. I used the aluminum seal, because I liked the way it looks (not that anybody else will see it.), but recently I...

    Want more bottom end power

I certainly agree with that last sentence! Unfortunately, my ski budget is limited :-( However, I did pick up a Riva Groovey ride plate for a good price :-) and I am looking at sending my flywheel to Zero for lightening. Don't see a mag pump in the near future, but maybe a Hooker for my stock...

    Want more bottom end power

Thanks guys. I think the carbs are pretty good, per plug reading, but I have not done much with tuning the pipe. I think that is my next step, along with changing the prop.

    Want more bottom end power

Changing prop to a 13/17 Solas. Wondering if it is worth the money to have it cut for a setback?

    Want more bottom end power

So, I picked up a '96 WB1 last year. The specs are: 62T/61X motor w/stock 38mm carbs & aftermarket F/As Factory pipe w/mod chamber Blowsion one piece girdled head w/33cc domes (makes about 155psi @ 5,000' above sea level, where I ride) Stock pump and impeller Jet Dynamics extended ride plate...
