Trailer bunk ideas - Non Scratch

get 10" keel rollers, I load 1/2 my hurricane at super eaze, then the front lands and then drag the rest. I only use one and the ride plate lands slightly passed it and lower so literally locks it in. If you strategically placed 2 or 3 you'd have a scratchless load. Mine is between the bunks...

Uh oh! Throttle plate screw is gone

Cleaned it up, cylinders look good, piston and dome got the worst. I am betting the whole screw passed by all the lower danger and wreaked havoc on the top.

Uh oh! Throttle plate screw is gone

Wouldn't you think that if it passed through the intake port, combusted and went out the exhaust port, that would be the end of it. Was such a small screw, it would have either hung out, or blasted through, in which it did. I am pretty much saying, is that I assume that it probably would have...

Uh oh! Throttle plate screw is gone

The results are in, damaged front piston, holds compression same as other. I think it's had 1 hour + running like that, and it's still pulls me into back flops. Anything wrong running it like this? If it's not disrupting function (I assume) then f*ck it right?

Uh oh! Throttle plate screw is gone

I wish, if it wasn't 10hr dasa 1000cc, no where in reeds, made it to the case.

Uh oh! Throttle plate screw is gone

Went to prime my carbs to start before go out today and noticed one plate screw missing. My question, are the reeds holding it, or did it cycle through motor? Checked piston through spark hole, checked compression, everything seems to be okay.

    701/760 Jumbalaya

Currently have a working 61x motor and a 760 62t/62t Also have a motor needing to be rebuilt 61x/62t combo. Have all the parts to build the 61x/62t, but was wondering if I should make 2 (61x/62t) combos and make a weird 62t/61x combo. My plan was to make the 61x motor the back up and sell the...

Need opinions for a tool I'm developing (engine temp)

My thinking for a fuel gauge would be one step past limited slips idea of tapping of an inline visible tube, but then add an input from there to relay to a digital readout, either realtime when the boat is stable or an average.

Bad Gas Remedy (motors, not butts)

I purchased a gallon of PRI-G a competitor of Stabil. The reason I did this is I was gathering all the gas I had wasted over the years and figured give it a try. $100 later, I may have been over my head thinking I would save 12gal $50 in gas with $100 remedy. While it claims to treat over...

    Starter problems

I've taken so many starters apart and frankensteined them together, tigersharks, kawi, and yama. If i were you, take it apart. The weak point of these starters are the super stretchy o-rings, allowing a little moisture past, equals donezo washington. Pull it apart, make sure the brushes contact...
