    they are two different carbs but look exactly the same. the 4 hole carb came off the 650's and cant supply the right fuel demand for the 701. the 3 hole carb is the real 701 carb. alot of people dont know this. atleast make sure each carb is the same. they are mikuni sbn 44's

    ohh yea that would help. i dont have a tach. its a 61x superjet bored to 733cc with a riva red pipe, 180-185 psi, msd, 46mm mikuni carb with 127.5 low speed jet and 155 main jet. the main jet is most likely rich right now until i get the low speed tuned right.

    3-hole vs 4-hole 44mm Mikuni SBN

    the 3 hole carbs are the better ones. i know it doesnt make sense but the 3 hole carbs are for the true 701 motors and the 4 hole carbs are the 650 carbs. this was for the superjets not sure if its different for kawis but thats what i was told. and off my stock 650 motor came a 4 hole carb.
