Surfriding Krashing into a 50 Cal... Stage 2!

Why not feed the tubes down and get your cables all run, then install the waterbox? Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

    Making of the SNX Hull

I only put about 5 gallons through it before I tore a callus on my hand. I'm a little bitch when it comes to hand blisters, so that ended my weekend. I felt it handled great though. Very stable, slides nicely, and the nose stays up a lot better now with the new rocker and widened front. I'm not...

    Making of the SNX Hull

It was big in the back. Well big for surfside. Messy as usual though.

    Making of the SNX Hull

Lol right. I ride with the pole down a lot, so I like a nice big pad. I was getting really bad back pumps with the smaller pads in the past. I'm going to have to try a fixed steer someday to see how I like it.

    Making of the SNX Hull

Besides the adjustable foot holds and some graphics, it's finished. Had to 3D print a spring holder. If it doesn't hold up, I'll have to have it machined. This was a last minute part I didn't know I would need. So far it's holding up though. Some padding and turf. Straps Pole...

    New 2017 Kawasaki 4 stroke sx-r!

Grand slam is a bit much, maybe a ground rule double. Regardless of how heavy this thing is, it looks like fun and is still better than no stand up Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

    Making of the SNX Hull

Got my sweet new HIN tags in thanks to @Wet Dreams Also the pole bracket arrived Motor in and most of the water lines run. Started working on the turf and my heat gun died. Everything is taking a little longer than I had hoped, but it's being done right (mostly). The first time I...

    Making of the SNX Hull

:( Gone. And I'll probably not make another one of these again. Molds will be for sale when I get some time to clean them up. There will be a visual carbon B1 sometime next year though...

    Making of the SNX Hull

Got the pump aligned and all of the inserts done. Hoping my pole bracket comes in tomorrow. If so, I might be able to get it all wrapped up. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

    Making of the SNX Hull

Tubes after clear I don't think I ever posted in here the process to make these tubes. Enclosed shapes are a challenge with composites, especially if the mold side is the outside of the shape. There's several ways to do it, lost foam, wet layup bladder molding, pultrusion, etc. Because the...

    Making of the SNX Hull

Could have used another layer of primer, but I'm short on time. Besides its just going to get beached anyway. For some reason it looks yellow in the pictures. This is the color Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

    Making of the SNX Hull

I think I've put in around 80 hours in the last two weeks. I'm more than ready for it to be finished. The next time I say I'm going to cut a perfectly good boat up, stop me.
