    Cutting/Welding a used waterbox

Here is is all welded back up. I should have had it angled towards the outside a bit as well, but I was able to make it work with the silicone elbow. I'll probably end up swapping it to a smaller box in the future anyway. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

McDog Jr. learns how to refurb a beatup Superfreak

I agree. Doesn't help much with handling raw glass fiber, but I find it makes a huge difference in keeping the fine dust from sanding/grinding out of your pores.

    Cutting/Welding a used waterbox

Local shop here. Miller's machine and welding. I'll get some pics when I get it back and all setup in the hull.

    Cutting/Welding a used waterbox

Found a shop that will slice it and rotate the inlet to 45* for $50. Should be done tomorrow Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

    Cutting/Welding a used waterbox

I completely forgot you did my XMetal pfp box awhile back. If I can't find a solution this weekend, I'll probably send this one out to you to work on.

    Cutting/Welding a used waterbox

I think the easiest solution to the problem is cutting the inlet at a 22* angle, then spinning it 180 degrees and welding it back to put it at a ~45 angle. Then use a 45* silicone coupler to connect to the pipe. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

    Cutting/Welding a used waterbox

That's kind of what I figured. Hoping someone would say it's a piece of cake and any local welder can knock that out in a day so you can ride by Sunday... Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

    Cutting/Welding a used waterbox

Need some feedback from experienced welders. I have a TNT box and the inlet location and geometry simply does not work in my hull. I need to bring the inlet side down about 2". Either by lowering the inlet itself or by cutting the bottom of the box. My questions are: 1) can you get a clean...

Probably not. I love the way it rides, but there's already a lot of great options for hulls out on the market. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

    Making of the SNX Hull

Molds are for sale. Top deck, bottom deck, hood and hood liner molds. $1k local pickup (Houston area). Will provide infusion lessons and support. Top and bottom deck molds need a little bit of Gelcoat repair. Nothing major. These are the original molds. The original hull rode good, but needs...

    155 OEM PUMP TALK

I just tapped the wear ring and ran M8 helicoils. Works fine. I suppose you could run a bushing in the thru holes to make the m8 bolt fit snug, but I don't think it's necessary. As for prop pitch, I have no idea. My setup isn't tuned well. I *think* I'm running a 7/15 skat and it's probably too...

I like straps for surf stance, but I've never felt as locked in as I have with holds.

    Making of the SNX Hull

Very narrow. Especially the left hold. Jig for the router. Using a slot cutting bit with a top guide bearing. The jig is offset so I can flip it around to get between the guides. Pocket after routing All finished up The whole process was kind of a pain in the ass, but I couldn't...

    Making of the SNX Hull

Hah not tearing it down ever again. I'll sell it before I cut it up. I'm picking up a blaster hull this weekend for the next time I'm in the mood to make a new hull. I agree. Those straps just weren't cutting it. I never felt locked in enough to try anything. The few small re-entries I tried...
