Yep, have cash in hand while you're looking and if you find one locally bring the money when you go check it out, I've been able to snag good deals up from under other people just because they had to wait for the bank to open, ETC.
A 650sx is more like a step sideways IMO. They have a little more power but they feel quite a bit heavier too. I went from a 550SX to a 650SX and in retrospect I wish I would have kept the 550 and bought a pipe for it and maybe a couple other performance parts instead.
The VXR can hold about a half rack with ice under the seat, I can only hold 2 on the superjet in the tool container. I attempted to build a rack like this one a couple weeks ago but I ended up having issues with the spool gun.
