Just develop a good after ride clean and service routine and in no time you will know your ski inside and out. You will want to be adding this and modifying that but fight the urge and just get tray time until you have good riding skills.

As far as making the ski feel loser not sure what you are looking for however. I would recommend modifying the stock steering to make it quicker. The steering on the 08+ SJ is slow and makes it more challenging to slide the ski. I did this last week on my 08 SJ and it made the ski so much more...

The lead in the fuel slows the burn rate of the fuel. This is why in high compression application it is needed to prevent detonation that will lead to engine failure. Higher octane fuel does not = more HP it does resist detonation due to the lead or other addatives.

I just ordered from Hydro Turff yesterday. Couple of sheets and under-padding. The under-padding is backordered for a few weeks and their shipping was high to. Look to spend $15.00 to $20.00 to get it shipped. Check with Jetmaniac has lot's of good stuff.

I had to center the steering last night as well. This will change your bar alignment. I added that step to the list to save peeps time in the future:)

LOL... My wife backed into my SJ on my hitch hauler at the lake. She hit the ride plate its an 08 so the ride plate sits out 2 inches off the rear hull. Super Jet, zero damage, 2014 Camry $1,500.00 damage. Was I mad, hell no my ski was not hurt and body shops need to eat to:D

All I can tell you it made the ski a lot more fun to ride. I liked it stock. It is so much better now.

If you want to play it safe just do the nozzle. This will not require any additional cable throw it will just move the nozzle faster. Doing the turn plate will give more throw and faster throw being farther from the center of the turn plate. I think this is how it is working.
