Is your computer safe from Conficker?

I'm thinking this could all be a hoax. Either way, it did get me to update my virus scanner.

Is your computer safe from Conficker?

Tried to update and I get this: The website has encountered a problem and cannot display the page you are trying to view. The options provided below might help you solve the problem. I don't know much about computers, but I assume this is bad.

    Freeride on MTV

Serious let-down. I started watching the show when it first came out, but since the Jackass crew showed up it's gone down the crapper fast.

What is the dumbest, most ridiculous comment you've gotten about a standup?

From a cop at the ramp in Florida: "Why did you get one of those, could you not afford one with a seat?" Freakin jerk cop too. I hadn't tranfered the registration yet (still within 30 days) so he made me sit there while he called in to dispatch to check the registration on the ski. Then...

    Defoamig an OEM RN hull

Water would have flood the area under the tray for the ski to go under.

    Where did you buy yours?

They don't make those anymore without the valve, once they're off the shelves they're gone. Also they're annoyingly slow.

    Where did you buy yours?

I've fueled with my "non-approved" can while talking with a cop and he didn't care. The only time I've been griped at was for using a blue one, since apparently those should only be used for kerosene. Seems like as long as it's red no one will care, unless you're in the People's Republic of...

    Where did you buy yours?

I've used and it was the slowest pouring thing I've ever dealt with. I found a 5-gallon can similar to the VP square jugs at a local dirtbike shop. 35 bucks with a flex hose. Fills the skis much faster than the cheap ones, and I don't spill any.

    Footstraps keep comming undone

I used my Dremel with a grinding bit to score up the tray, then cleaned it up before epoxying in Rotaloc fasteners from McMaster. I can lift the ski off the trailer with one foothold.

    Quick question about turf

Use DAP Weldwood, the original red label. That's the same stuff Hydroturf tries to overcharge you for. Just make sure you don't get that hippie green-label stuff. I'm not sure about the 550, but their SJ hood seals aren't anywhere near as good as the OEM seal.

The ***ULTIMATE*** what shoes do you wear thread

Best shoes for straps? I need something to wear that will work well in my footstraps. I know most wetsuit booties won't last long with footholds, but has anyone tried them with straps? I haven't had much luck with size 13 wrestling shoes fitting well in the straps.

    Impeller HELP!!/Carnage

The same way an impact wrench works. If the impeller is loose when you nail the throttle, it will slip on the shaft. The difference in momentum between the shaft and the impeller will cause it to overtighten when it stops slipping. Or, if it's loose when you let off the throttle, it can...

    Impeller HELP!!/Carnage

Use antiseize and torque to about 50 ft-lbs. If you undertighten it, the torque from the engine will overtigthen it and it will be hard to get off again.

    Reliability question

For the love of god start rich. If you start lean your engine won't last long enough to get it tuned. Edit: As for the 2000' thing, our density altitude is above that for most of the summer here.

    jetskiing helmet

I use a BMX/downhill full-face with the visor removed. It's kept my teeth off the handlebars on more than one occasion.

    Reliability question

It's all in the tune. You can blow up a stock engine very quickly with a poor tune. Get your A/F mixture right and an engine with those basic mods will serve you well.

    another dual bilge question

I've found that my pump tends to air-lock more if I have a lot of horizontal travel in the hose. Maybe it's just my imagination.

    another dual bilge question

Downside to a single outlet is if one pump fails, some water will backflow through it from the other pump. Doesn't seem to matter which side you put the second outlet on, but you want to keep the hose as vertical as possible. And yes, above the bondline.

    Lifter Wedges?

I just ordered a strap to go up front. I'm going to try it with just a small rear lifter first and see how it works. I want to keep the back of the tray clear for when I'm not doing freestyle. I would throw in a rear foothold, but it's an old semi-junked hull that isn't worth investing in...
