I have a bunch of brand new water injections around here somewhere from when I bought out coffmans ages ago. Micro touch if I remember right and programmable with chips
When I pulled the ski up on the scissors stand, I notice a curtain of water pouring out from under it. Slapped on a 1 layer patch and kept beating it. Held up pretty good until the piston skirt busted off when I was blowing the last of the water out before I backed it into the back yard. This...
I've had to put I think 80s or 85s in there to lose the lean bog when you Crack it wide open from very low speed or idle. That's how you adjust the pilot jet. If you turn the low screw out 3 turns and it runs good. You need to go up a couple jet sizes to get the screw back down to 1 turn or so.
I'd make some out of ceap hdpe from taps plastic and see what happens before swallowing their bait hook line and sinker. I used to make rear sponsons . Same as tbm jsu and R&D. Probably cost you 10 bucks
The guy that bought it from Lawlor had some stupid front foothold installed. Quality work but I keep my feet in the back holds at all times. That big pocket will be a nice place to shove a retriever in there. I'm a firm believer in having a retriever on any ski you beat the crap out of and fear...
Traded this green carcass for this black carcass. I think I had a build thread started ages ago on camel toe Joe's old fr2 evo. Been in the bone yard for ages since idgaf. Jumped on the chance to trade it for randy lawlors old Green xfs/ xfr not sure which and also idgaf. Shorter hull will serve...
Taking material off both ends of the head pipe shortens the system for less chamber volume. More chamber volume means more torque which is what it sounds like you want. Less makes the motor rev higher which gives you more hp in rpm but at the sacrifice of torque and bottom end punch. I don't...
Sxr and 750 are the same subplate but sxr uses the other spot for the pivot bolt. One's tapped and One's not. That's why 750 steering cable don't work on sxr. I got lots of those
Maier is a company right up the hill from me in Sacramento. They used to have more products but now they only have those 650 nose pieces. Some years ago I was going to head up there and buy a bunch when they were like $30. They went up and I see them on ebay. They used to make squarenose...
Any squid can cruise the lake on a 650sx and use it like a grocery getter but if tricks is what you want out of a ski, I recommend getting some sort of aftermarket hull with the most powerful motor you can afford. Even if it's a 701, you're still going to have to learn to ride an AM hull before...
If the screens are restricting air flow, removing any screens will make it run lean. It's not going to increase power. If it's tuned right, don't dick with it. Or take screens out and try it. You can always just put them back in. Not sure on that stock SJ but all the idiots with kawi 750s put...
It didn't tag me but I found it. Those are just 650 reed cages. Nothing special unless you want some fancy carbon or dual stage reeds. Thanks bk. I probably have some of that crap around here. Oops it did tag me
The price of fun is high. Never ask or ride anybody else's stuff that's better than yours. You'll spit on your own equipment. If you're having fun doing what you'redoing, don't change a thing.
I've been selling parts and skis for over 20 years as my income. The last 10 years or so I've seen a decline since everybody and his dog got into buying and flipping. The flatwater craze has also topped out and fell off. Everybody parting their high dollar skis out instead of selling whole...
Sit down jetskis and boats are pretty lame in my eyes unless you think you need to do whatever on water instead of land. Just take your car on a bumpy road with the windows down to get basically the same experience as a couch or boat. BFD
That's why I sit on the beach waiting for a boat big...
