Both good points...I think any thing that lets water out will let air in. I guess what I was getting at is that the VP doesn't leak at all when sitting in the water under normal conditions.

When it's immersed in water, the ball floats into the hole...it's circular, it don't know if it's upside down or not!

The Versiplug ball will always cover the hole, upside down or not....another reason why they are so good.

I agree with pretty much everything written here. On the odd occassion that something does just bolt up stright and even without a minimum hours work, I find myself walking around scratching my head thinking "that was way too easy" For the next 55 minutes I'm pretty much standing there waiting...

Are the head bolts bottoming out in the threads before the head is fully torqued done by any chance? If they do bottom out, obviously you are going to get a false torque setting and the o-rings will be eaten out and blow. Usually happens when you use aftermarket heads with fastener shop...
