The finished product and we are so impressed with how it looked and all johns hard work paid off.
A lot of people have commented on how great this looks and I'm super happy to say it's mine and be the first sv-1 owner in the UK.
Sorry I didn't get any more build pictures but she went together...
Ok so have been busy last week up at Loki customs building the ski with John.
The ski went together over 2 days and we were both impressed how easy it was and how little shimming was needed.
The pump alignment is normally one of the hardest parts but that was done with the shoe on in no time at...
Foothold brackets on and footholds have been turfed. I think the tiger footholds are larger than the rrp ninja's so I'll see how I get on with them.

The hull is pretty much done now with just the graphics to put on the hood and a few other minor bits like making a bracket for the electric box to go and turfing the footholds. My Rickter will be stripped in the next week or so and some bits sent off to be powder coated before the hull is...
The hood was trimmed to fit the hull today then was clamped and bonded with the bottom half, we used the same tent to keep it warm enough for the bonding agent to go off.
Next we tackled the turf doing the rails first, the blue waffle turf was special order from Hydroturf direct as most dealers here only stock the basic colours.
We padded the tray with 26mm under padding ready for some heavy landings. The firewall was padded with 10mm padding with 2 layers added...
Graphics next and i'm glad i was there to help out as it was defo a 2 man job. The Graphics Chris designed me where really great to work with, forgiving yet strong enough to take some abuse.
The bottom of the hull was the harder part getting the graphics to go neatly over the tubbies, with a...
I was able to get up to Loki HQ this week for a few days and help John out (I live 3 hours away). We had to tidy up the edges and trim the hull where we had bonded the 2 halves together, the nose of the ski was a pain and slow.
John is wicked with fibre glass and kevlar work and we wanted this hull strong so we Kevlar reinforced the sides of the ski and added triaxel weave glass to the nose, it's hardly had much impact on the overall weight and i know it'll put up with whatever abuse i throw at it.
I ordered a few bits from Thrust to bling up the ski like pissers, bilge outlet and Ball valve scupper. Sadly the scupper tube we chose is the wrong size but John managed to turn a piece of Nylon down on the lathe so i still used the Thrust outlet cover. With import taxes and shipping it wasn't...
The hull was clamped and bonded together then leaving it over night in a tent with a small heater in to make sure the bonding agent goes off. Weather here isnt great for building hulls at this time off year.
Update - There's been loads of progress on the hull over that last 4 weeks. The hull was water tested for any leaks through the tubes before it was filled with foam and sealed up, We went with polystyrene blocks cut into shape around the tubes then we put 2 part foam in through holes once it was...
Did you not get a hood seal with it? Mine came with one separate to fit myself. As far as steering cable, i'm sure a regular 98-07 SJ will fit.....I've not heard otherwise.
