I hope it does live on. I'm in Mauritus this year on holiday or i'd be there. My lost buddy is going over there to have the last of his ashes spread at the event as he was planning to go this year but sadly lost his life in a Motocross accident 2 months ago.
I'll be heading out there next year...
@danrowan sells bags with carry handles. They're a good bit of kit. http://djrltd.com/shopjetskiparts/yamaha-superjet-rickter-jetski-storage-transportation-bag
Run the new TNT v3 pipe over the b pipe. Those things wake up motors something crazy. Plus total loss is a bad idea in surf, your asking for issues and you'll waste time on the wrench rather than riding.
The Carve is proving to be a great hull over here with Dan foy riding the first one hard for over a year now and it's still going strong and he rides hard!
It's just a normal pre 08 superjet shaft you need to run as im aware.
My buddy is a short huy and ride his xfs well in surf. He rides small surf and can pull out some nice flips with a small motor. Surf riding is hard work but it depends what you want out of it i suppose.
Wish i'd known that before i tore my graphics up riding the other day. Chris is sorting me some new ones so i'll get some, for now mine looks pretty good just bare jel coat.
Put a good layer of super glue or clear nail varnish along lower part of the bottom graphics, mine peeled off on sunday. I used clear nail varnish but probably not enough im guessing.
I tested the ski on the lake at Loki once it was built and apart from the starter motor dying it all went well.
Managed to hit the surf this weekend and have a good session in some decent sized surf.
I'm honestly blown away how much I enjoyed riding this ski in the surf....even doing fist...
