Go ahead & replace that whole cable back to the battery (or to the starter, can't tell which) and get good heat shrink connectors. They corrode several inches up into the plastic covering and will give you problems in the future.

Those Skat 14.5/18.5 are great props. Take out the pump and test fit them both. use a feeler guage to see which is a tighter fit in the pump's wear ring.
