Whoa, whoa easy there big guy!
Just kidding, that does look great! :notworthy: I bet it's fun to get cloth to lay down nicely around those pump insert areas. Did you make the mold all in one lay, or do a few layers, dry, sand, fill, and do more?
I've read that the 701cc wejets came with both the 44 & 46mm carbs.
Either 44 or 46, it will work on your 750. I'm pretty sure you'll need an aftermarket intake manifold to use the carb. They sell on here or ebay for about $50 or so. The OEM kawa one is for a keihn (sp?) carb and has different...
Chain wrench (vice grips) around the flywheel.
It takes a hell of a lot more force to get the coupler off than I'd want on my head dome or crank with the rope in the cyl method.
Cool project!
You'll need a SJ waterbox, exhaust hoses, gastank & straps, longer pos. battery cable for ebox, SJ driveshaft, bearing carrier & shortshaft.
You can frequestly find somebody parting out a pre95 hull and get these stock parts pretty cheap.
'Spooge' is normal with any 2stroke. I think the brand of oil makes a difference. Cheaper oil = more spooge out of the exhaust.
WD40 removes the spooge off most surfaces.
What ratio are you mixing your fuel & oil?
I actually tore my plastic HIN plate up with a wire wheel years ago. I thought they were metal and it had been painted over many times so I was trying to clean it.
I had to have the state of GA reissue me a new HIN# with 2 GA issued HIN decal. The DNR guys had to come out to the house 2 times...
As far as a better looking end job with minimal final finish sanding work, I'd scrape back the turf to cut an access hole in the tray gunwales & fix it from the inside. Use really rough sandpaper (like 36grit) to rough up the area & use epoxy resin as posted before.
Glassing it from the...
So what is the difference between the various kidney shaped chambers?
FP made the blaster one, WaveRaider one, one for a Kawasaki. They are all the same basic kidney shaped chamber.
I only have the Raider chamber so I can't compare, are they different?
I talked to Art at the real Jetworks yesterday. He would charge the same (about $180 each) to turn these Buckshot carbs into blackjacks as he would an OEM carb. I'd rather send him a stock carb to mod and sell these.
I wanted to try these buchshots first, so I guess I'll throw it all in and...
I got killer deal on a 94 701cc WaveRaider & big double Triton alum trailer off Craigslist locally. Of course the ad stated "Super fast jetski! Does 70mph!" :burnout:
Engine was put together by Jetworks in SC and has 67 (or maybe 6.7?) hours on it according to the TinyTach. It had a Twist...
It's not the riding by the gators that's scary to me.
It's the ski breaking down for some reason and FLOATING with the gators that would freak me out. I would not ride there alone; take a buddy & a rope!
