    2008 Superjet "The Basketcase" Build

Thanks, it came out ok for my first time doing it without any help. The “paint shop” paint was definitely a decent paint for the money. If I ever had to do another one I would be more comfortable with the amount of layers, working with the humidity n spray gun.

95 HX Dies after 2 minutes

Definitely change out the lines, filter, oring for filter, clean carbs with mikuni kits, new carb base gaskets, fuel selector n clean out the tank. If there’s crap in the tank it will just clog up your new stuff you just installed. Do it once correctly. That part doesn’t even cost money, just...

    SuperJet starting issue

I would pull the front cover off and check the bendix. Take out the plugs. Get some close line style rope. shove some in a cylinder. Rotate the engine so it locks up the engine. Rotate it the direction of the flywheel bolt coming off. Remove bolt. It has 50lbs on it so you have to give some...

    2008 Superjet "The Basketcase" Build

Got the new chin pad from Jettrim. It looks great. Had them put on the prowatercraft label on it. Wanted them to have a little recognition since the colors scheme came from there SJ they built for former Team Kawasaki Off-road racer Destry Abbott. Also put on the stock side bumpers n corners...

    2008 Superjet "The Basketcase" Build

Yeah, I learned a little lesson from it. If the primer line was attached to the pumper, I probably would have been fine bc the fuel would have stopped at the pumper. I’ve actually been keeping the cap a little loose now while it’s in the garage so the pressure doesn’t build as much.

    2008 Superjet "The Basketcase" Build

Wow, that is all I have to say for today. Went out into the garage to get things hooked up on the motor and it wasn’t good. When I opened the door all I could smell was gas. Looked into the hull and it had about 2 inches of premix in it. I pumped it out and pulled the engine but that was the...

    2018 SuperJet runs like booty

No he means the filter right before the carb inlet side. Some call it filter n some call it water separator

    2008 Superjet "The Basketcase" Build

Well my intuitions were wrong. Pulled out the engine today. Pulled off the intake to check the reeds n inside of crank case. Everything looked good. Pulled the front cover off and there it was. The flywheel bolt came loose somehow and that is where the rattling was coming from. Flywheel was...

    2008 Superjet "The Basketcase" Build

I got out into the water this week for the initial test run. Everything was going good up to this point. Ski sounded great as soon as it hit the water. Throttle response was right there. There were no leaks into the hull. Once I crossed the no wake area I started to throttle up. Everything was...

Solas or R&D Scoop Intake Grate on Stock 2015 SJ?

Yes both skis use the same part number on the grate. Ride plates are different but grates are the same.

    Hydrospace Kawi 1100 conversion

Gotcha. That’s what I thought but I was confused about the outlet. Never seen a hydrospace up close nor really no nothing about them on the inside. Just seen them in racing videos tearing up SJ’s and SXR’s. Has to be a blast to ride. Have you gps the speed at all.

    The Circus

I don’t know how you guys do it with these builds. I can see if it’s your 9 to 5 but with regular stuff going on there’s so much input and dedication that is needed when doing it as a hobbyist. It’s all baby steps. A lot of going back and forth. I give it up to you guys who build these.
