Yes if the bottom edge is hanging below the bottom of the hull, it will cause all kinds of strange issues. Truing the hull will also fix this potential issue. If one of the edges is hanging lower than the hull bottom, it'll act like a brake at speed and cause random pitches off one side or the other

The Inverse hulls look superjetty but most definitely are not. They are shorter, wider tray, pole mount moved forward, rocker nose and are much much wider. I believe there's some other changes but I can't list them off top of my head

What jetting is in the carb now? Could try going up one size on the pilot and 2 sizes on the main. Ex- 120p, 150m. Try- 125p-160m and see what happens. It's just about impossible to give jetting over the internet. You'll just have to start somewhere and go from there.
