i've used that stuff on headgaskets before with good results. Although it's not really a fix for real problems like a warped head sealing suface, it's always seemed to me that it would help seal small scratches and imperfections.

i've seen a couple squares painted flat black, and I thought it looked freakin awesome. Dupont makes a paint called hot rod black that replicates the same shade as flat black primer. Plus, it's UV resistant and won't absorb water, unlike primer. I'm pretty sure it's a single stage paint too.

for sure, those things rock. I just used one on my square after goo gone didn't work. I got the astro one, too, with the threaded arbor. I just really cranked on the chuck on my air drill and it worked fine.

friggin schweet vids corey!! i amend my previous statement. THAT was definitely the coolest thing ever done on a 650. pretty cool to see the squares rockin as well!!! BUT, Fox, if that was a 300, and I have no idea if it was or not, I feel a lot better :bigok:

ya, i rigged up an allen wrench that i ground the shaft down to leave a ball at the end, but I lost it. This is much simpler.

Does anyone have any advice on how to install the rubber check valve grommets in the pump side of a SBN? I rebuilt a few other carbs, and didn't have any trouble getting them in, but I just ripped a hole in two sets trying to push them through the hole. Any advice? I know, I know, stupid...

it's not a 650, but I just bought my '94 SN with a protec pipe, plate, and grate, along with a nameless SS impeller (other than that basically stock) for $950. It's a pretty solid ski too.

It's the original SBN 44. Just after I dipped it while rebuilding it all of the paint came off, and the only paint I had in my garage was this cast aluminum engine paint. Looks pretty cool though.
