I am talking to a few places around here about powdercoating.

I am trying to dye my tank right now. It took forever to get enough hot water to fill up a tub but I finally got it. I will probably leave it in there for 2 days. I threw my battery tray in there too since there was a little extra space. I think it is taking the die pretty good.

I will try to get a couple pics up in a bit.

Interesting - what color or am I thinking wrong on this?

You might try a tumb throttle from an X2. Probably a lot more comfy than the Yam one just turned around. just my 2 cents.

Interested in seeing the dye on the tank....

I am just trying black. I figured even if it doesn't come out real black it will at least be grey. I will check on it in the morning and see how its doing.

do you have a pic of an x2 throttle? I am pretty happy with mine.

It's a thumb throttle similar to that on a quad. I don't have a closer pic but you can see it in this one.

Well apperently I lost my before pics. here are som during pics. I am getting a little worried that this dye wont take. I plan to give it another 2-3 days though so we will see what happens. The battery box actually looks like it is taking the dye well at least.

Hey Peter if you want to try out a thumb throttle I have one I just pulled off a junk ski because someone wanted to buy the throttle cable. Give me a call if you want to try it.

day 3 for the tank, it looks black in person but the flash still shows the brown. I guess I don't need it for a month so I could just leave it in there.

Alright hull is totally empty. Pump is out. the only thing left is my handpole and thats not coming off.

Now to start cleaning the grime out of the engine bay and prep for reinforcement. I am cansidering getting some por15 for the bottom, any thoughts?

alright I finished scrubbing the hull out. Now I guess I will grind the ribs and start prepping for the carbon. I think I am going to order some por15 and use that to coat the bottom of the hull.
