The problem you are having is probably because of too much grease, and the wrong kind. Some grease can be very sticky, and if you put too much in there it will make the steering feel very stiff. Try to clean up the parts with gasoline, like you mentioned. Then go to NAPA and get some grease...

The hull is a -3 inch hull. It makes everything easier, especially rolls and flips. People that are riding them, swear by them. My next personal ski will be shortened, if that means anything. Jeff

The exhaust manifold is the same for the 800 and 1200 except for the holes you mentioned. We simply have both in stock, and if needed can open the 8mm to 10mm for bolting on stock cylinders. Couplers are interchangable, like the RAT said. The 66e cylinders have more port time area, barely...
