The retarded rear cylinder was done by Yamaha to avoid crank torsion issues and associated deto on the heavier sit downs wasn't it? Standard on the B2/GP760 etc?
Yeah like already said, it'll be either solonoid gone, earth lead gone, or (most likely) corrosion on brown/red or black/white connector to start stop switch (those OEM plugs) unplug them and clean with a Neddle file/carb cleaner then regrease.
What a great thread, lots of good fresh information. What's your view on the newer 66e based 1200's, have you dyno'd any of those and how do they compare to the 62T platform? Are the transfers bigger on those due to the wider stance of the cylinders and crank rods?
Doesn't installing a bend (particularly a 90') slow down the flow in a pipe increasing back pressure? Would it be better to use 45's for a shallower climb/fall instead instead?
Interesting thread with many ideas on how best / reliably administer the water (MSD Water injection, reverse flow control valves etc)... Could I chuck another one in the mix having had a think?
Yam made the YPVS (electric power valves) and Seadoo / DASA / XScream realised pneumatics driven off...
Been running one for 8x months in my XFS with XS1200 flat landing flips and it's fine. It's in my B1 ATM whilst I wait for my next hull. I potted it before I used it though, just as a precaution, not based on any issues or feedback.
Hey guys, I'm a Brit visiting Orange County in Cali next year for a couple of weeks around March / April - is there anywhere you can hire a freestyle boat or hook up with some local riders / watch out that way? Can't fit my XFS in the luggage!
Thanks
Jim
