It looks pretty at least. You can pop it with the carbs on there and see if it's sticking. I had a brand new needle that stuck before and it wouldn't run for poop to even get to the point of running away. It'd barely idle if you didn't put your hand over the carb. Dribbling is never good though

I was kind of wondering if it was appearing in the return line. Maybe pressurize the pulse fitting with a couple pounds to check it for a seal. But yeah, I don't quite get it either. I'd definitely do some checking on the carb before tearing into it

Don't know your carb experience, but the plastic valves come with ink on them to mark which side goes outward. Also, you can't punch a hole through those rubber pieces when installing them. I use a flat side of a wrench to push them through and then a bobby pin to make sure it is fully seated...

I had a 2" that lasted a year with heavy use and outside 24/7. The connectors got brittle and broke one after the other. I've got a wooden one now that I stained solid color and should last forever and probably cost the same amount of money to build.
