I just totalled my truck 2 weeks ago because of a gal running a red light. I'm used to having some time to avoid traffic situations. This was so sudden and so unexpected; it was just crazy. Hope everyone is ok in that situation!

Yeah, same here :) Just goose it and shoot the ski in when done riding! As long as you leave the windows open, it doesn't smell too bad! Meh, van was free. I like the racks though - the ski tends to roll around a lot on corners when it's just sitting on carpet.

That kicks ass!! I was thinking about building something similar for my van, but opted to simply back it in the water to slide the skis in and out. I like this setup though. May have to mimic it. Thanks for the pics!

I couldn't find the number that I actually used. I do believe it was metal lined, so it would be style #1.

I've had pretty good luck with a drywall roto-zip style bit in a dremel for smaller stuff. I don't think I'd use it for long cuts though. It's tough to do a straight line. Cuts through SMC and fiberglass like butter though.

I use something similar to McMaster #12335A42, but I'm not sure that is the size. I'll try to double check. You can kind of see it in this pic:

You ever taken that thing off any sweet jumps?

I have that every once in a while with windows. I don't know what causes it, but a reboot fixes it.
