SXR with broken motor worth buying?

I would not do it. Thrown Rod is am engine replacement, unless you can somehow Verify it did not punch through the Cases. You are literally buying a Hull, Handel pole, and pump, with Electronics that you can not verify work. Consider you have to replace the whole motor without having a Good...

Still tryin to get a sn hah

^ this is good advice. No spark could be CDI, Flywheel(unlikely Flywheel) Pulse coil, Charge Coil, or Ignition Coil. And could be something as easy as the wire harness from the Start stop. So assume its all bad until you prove otherwise. Good Luck.

750 sx 94 hard to start

Stock CDI that Advance plate Should give you more power, however the R&D plate requires you to use an R&D Gasket to align it correctly on the SX models. And if its MSD I cant recall if it is intended for use for anything less than a big pin engine. Either way Good luck..

750 sx 94 hard to start

That looks like a Timing Advance Plate under the Pickup Coil. Notorious for causing Starting Issues. I would say remove it, and see if the Issue Goes away. Edit: And it looks to be installed Backwards.
