I was advised otherwise - but I can only support that the SBT liner does not fit the WSM housing without major room for issues !!

I just received a SBT delrin liner for my WSM housing. 144mm prop.
First problem. Allmost impossible to fit over the prop..
Second issue. The delrin liner were WAY too small for the housing. Can fall straight through the housing! Whats up with that??
And no.. The housing is for 144mm props...
I've chosen to go with a skat setback 144 - and my mate has chosen to go with the SOLAS. So lets see what happens - Its going to be interesting to see if its the SOLAS or the SKAT that gives us the most headache ;)
Both of the pumps will be assembled by an experienced builder, so its all down...
I appreciate all the inputs.. It seems like for salt most of you are pointing me towards the SOLAS pump.. But theres still many different stories! I suppose its "take a chance" for whatever you decide. It can go wrong with the SOLAS as well as the SKAT pump.. Its just weird that something...
It's just - I live in Denmark, and imm kinda far away if I need to send it for repairs at skat trak.. I would just appreciate at least a few seasons on it before repairs were needed!
It's just SS would never need to be repaired, as it's one unit, and not two different metals pushed into each...
Haha -
So your saying that I shouldn't think too much about submerging the aluminum housing with a SS stator core in saltwater on a regular basis ? ;)

Thanks for your input - but gets me absolutely no closer to any experience with how well the skat trak endures the saltwater!

Imm having a hard time deciding which one to go for..
144mm SS Solas mag vs
144mm SkatTrak setback
I almost only ride saltwater, with the occasionally freshwater ride.
How many seasons can I expect the aluminum housing on the skat trak to hold up in salt, if washed down after use? How...
Anyone happens to have a set of 62t casings without bedplates, that can tell me the exact weight and measurements?
Need it for a shipping quote, but don't have a set near by - and can't seem to find it anywhere :(
I know what you mean - its just wast to purchase carbs with two pumps on, and then disassemble them to remove the pumps, and then run an external.. Just seems stupid IMO :P
Thanks for all your replies. There seems to be a lot of methods to do this - just need to figure out which one to use, if any at all. Haven't decided if its worth going with larger carbs without case porting.. Have to eliminate the weakest link :/
Too bad the 38's mani don't fit 44's - would've...
As the topic says, I want to go from dual 38's to let's say dual 44's. The 38 combo has only one fuel pump, but the 44's has two. How's the extra pulse line connect to the casings? There's only one input?
And does the 61x mani for the 38's fit the 44's, or would I have to change mani as well...
