    ATP Flame Total Loss Review

Glad you like it Matt, I knew you would! I'll be running one of these again on my next build. They are perfect for the surf, easily programmed and make great power with your stock electrics!

Did I Give Up Too Soon On Total Loss?

Hopefully Chris will chime in on this...in fear of sounding stupid, I'll let Chris explain what the deal is with the aftermarket flywheels. I learned a lot from Chris when I spoke to him a couple of days ago about this.

Did I Give Up Too Soon On Total Loss?

There's nothing that says the above flywheels won't work, but I know that ATP aren't making any claims at this stage, which is quite smart I think. Also, considering it's quick and easy to install in place of a stock ignition means that the average Joe can do it. The advantage of being able...

Did I Give Up Too Soon On Total Loss?

queenford.8m.com EPIC is a programmable charging ignition, and the Flame is a total loss. Both fit in your stock e-box and both are programmable. The only real difference is that one charges using your stock electrics, and the other is a complete kit that doesn't charge.

    EME q8 in the surf

Just for the record...all the other competitors had the same conditions all day. From the angle of the camera, it looks really messy, but it wasn't that bad at all. Unfortunately, Eric's runs resembled more of a flat water routine than a surf heat.

Cylinder numbers above the exhaust port?

It would have to have something to do with tolerance wouldn't it? The only think that seems to change between mass produced parts is the pistons and rings. You never get a set the same and all decent engine builders will need the pistons before they bore to suit. I'm sure Yamaha have some...

Carbon SJ Mould and Ski Build

Nice work! Your pm's would nearly be full by now wouldn't they? The funny thing is that making the molds is the hardest/most time consuming part. One you have it, parts are easy.

    SXR won't rev out...

Ah...turned out to be the fuel filters... They were a brass insert style motorbike filter. Changed them out for some bigger ones and away she went. It was funny as it would only rev straight to 6050 and that's it. I thought it would lean out the mixture a little, but seemed fine. I haven't...

shhhh - New XScream Adjustable Steering System is bada$$

Great idea, but like the umi shortened turnplates, it seems that a weak point is introduced by cutting out the X in the middle. I would like to see one in person though as I may very well be wrong.

    Turf Wars Jetski VS Surfer

I'm a surfer too, and the part I don't understand is why a surfer would paddle out amongst a bunch of skiers that have been there for an hour? I know that beach, and the waves there are far from the best where they are riding. Yeah, surfers have been around for a long time, and I respect...

    Turf Wars Jetski VS Surfer

If he didn't paddle out amongst the guys on ski's he wouldn't have anything to worry about. This is a common sight in Victoria, Australia. For the most part the surfers are fine, and most skiers come from a surfing background. You do however, get the odd surfer(s) that paddle out where you...

Type 9 dry in a Rickter hull...

It might be a long shot, but does anyone know if a type 9 dry pipe will fit in the Rickter hull without extensive mods to the hood lip? My initial thoughts are no, as from the pics of seen, even aftermarket flame arrestors are a tight fit, or need mods to the hood lip. I've always loved the...
