My thought is, and pls correct me, that the open pole would allow water to come in from any angle. Most standard or AM poles only bring in water from the top of the pole by the pad and handle bar area. Just an observation looking for answers.

Weird question: With that pole wouldn't the engine compartment take on more water? If not how do you stop it? It does look strong.

I ride a Trek Fuel used to race XC years ago. Now just ride XC and hit Downieville 1x a year for a 30 mile downhill rush. Got the Summer Tahoe card this year so I will hit Kirkwood and Northstar a few times. Used to ride the nice hills in the bay area now jsut grind it around folsom lake...

I have the bomber carb on my ski and love it. I think it misses a little of the midrange that my duals had but the bottom and top end are great. Im not good with carbs and this one is easy to keep in tune.

Even though I wasn't there :-) I've hit bottom too many times and broken hulls so I now prefer a nose stab. I have to get over the fact that this lake is not shallow and Im working the slow approach. Whens the next ride?
