i used 5200 between the tubbie and ski, then screwed them down with SS screws to hold them in place. after the 5200 dried, i sanded and sanded and then glassed over the whole thing. i left my screws in, i just cut off the extra inside the hull. so to answer your question, yes you can...

i dont have a link but i saw some drop in holds on ebay made for the RN SJ hood and i think they were only $60. i know this doesn't quite answer your question, but i thought i would share anyway...

what model XFT hood was that? i have the X-7 i just mocked it up on my fiance's ski with a lowered bracket and AC pole and it went down no prob... when comparing her AC to my stocker, the base that mounts in the bracket does not look that much thicker... i was planning on making a lowered...

I just got my hands on a sweet XFT hood and nose. i was going to run my stock shortened pole with it... i mocked it up and it looks like the pole is going to stick above the hood and look funny. anyone else run a stocker like this? got pics?

this is perfect! i was just talking with my fiance about how cool it would be to have two small superjets on top of our wedding cake instead of the typical bride/groom figures... and the best part is, she is ok with it! well, you know, she rides a SJ too...

all i can say is don't go cheap on tires! and don't run those small skinny POS tires. right now i am in the process of swapping axles on my ski trailer to run a larger tire/bearings, i wore out my skinny pos tires in one trip from so cal to lake mohave! also my ol pontoon/ski hauler has those...

have you checked for an exhaust leak? my old type 4 would blow couplers alot. when i would fall off, restarting it would be almost impossible cause it had no fresh air. maybe next time crack open the hood and see if you get a bunch of exhaust coming out... just a thought, good luck!

making alum flywheel i was thinking of makiing one as well... but not sure what to do about the magnets. i would want it to be a charging flywheel. has anyone ever removed the magnets from a stocker? what about the ring gear? other than those two issues, it shouldnt be a problem to whip...
