Yes, do this. Dasa engines aren't cheap but gaskets are. You've checked everything that could be wrong. Starter, leads, battery, solenoid. So check them again, perhaps the replacement starter you used was faulty also. If you've sunk the ski double check the leads, especially the negative line

Coil packs smoking? Try putting bypassing the start relay and giving the battery a good charge to begin with

Low end hit? 61x, hpe then 760. In that order. A 760 isn't a good low end engine compared to others
