make sure you check the headgasket
wrong ones will have the cooling holes where the casting bridges are and block the holes
possible you have std 61x gasket on the 62t head?
i raced using some of the first able/ada topends and head stud kits before you born
so i have experience with this subject
i think you should invest in having your torque wrench certified and then use CORRECT torque settings
marketing is overblown before an actual product is produced
they need to just get units out to riders to compete and evaluate
this is what rrp xscream superfreak etc have done to be successful
this forces development on the product to not fail
clean it well
weld from inside only
use an highly experienced welder with good tig welder
don't grind just leave weld bead
you won't even know the difference
too tight
especially with 1.5mm oversize thicker pistons
run .005
quit screwing around with separate cooling lines
just run standard dual cooling and the lower fp b pipe screw at 3/4-7/8
must use the ada modern rolled thread studs
not the very early cut thread studs
chucky and maniac are right on on needing more torque
ada specs is way off
23/35 is what works with the newer studs
dont buy a reman from sbt
just get a crank from them
buy oem kawasaki seals and gaskets
use prox piston kits
get wiseco pin bearings
have a good machine shop resurface head and bore/hone cylinders
1st i would try
use 1/2 input line for the y fitting not the 3/8 line
make sure you have the larger 1/4p threaded 1/2 barbed fitting at the pump
try upping the stinger jet some
early 650 use the wider pin bearing that dont use washers
sbt crank pin bearings do come with the wider bearings
they are kaw 750 bearings
wiseco b1023 is the part # for the wider bearings to use and eliminate the useless washers
