The mountain 4 strokes do pretty good off the trail. As good as a new 2 stroke? No, but they don't require rebuilding every couple thousand miles and are much more fuel efficient.

I think it's gonna be sweet as long as you don't gain too much weight over the stock hull.
I like my NRS john too, but I didn't pay much for it. The ankle zippers come unzipped sometimes and the shoulder straps chafe a bit on bare skin. Other than those issues it works well.
I use cold galv regularly at work, the key is applying it to a hot surface, it doesn't adhere or cover very well if you don't heat the part that is being coated.
I've thought about using something like this for a cheap and easy handhold.

After FedEx lost a pair of door panels I shipped before they made it 35 miles I quit using them. I also hate how they don't even knock on the door when they make deliveries, sometimes I'll go to leave and find a package outside the door in the weather.

UPS lost two of our very large boxes with $12,000 in custom stainless parts earlier this year, luckily they found them within a week. They disappeared in SLC.
