also check the throttle shafts, i had a ski that took off and it turned out to be a worn out throttle shaft. i agree with motoman....take those carbs apart and have a looksie!

yup went and tried it, sure enough if i rev it up and hit stop quickly, it will roll to a nice stop. it will not keep running if i release the button before it rolls to a stop. i still say cdi.

im running 9/15 hooker, 85mm nozzel, stub cone and jetworks impeller spacer. works great. lots of pop and still goes like hell

if your talking about the dark ring around the top of the bores, thats just carbon and the rings dont go quite to the top to scrape it away...for lack of a better term. happens on all engines, big or small. 2 or 4 stroke.

ya you gotta ask yourself do you NEED to spend 5k on a hull? id bet most people dont. and thats a nice lookin RN, id say rock it! it will roll and flip and still be a good freeride ski.
