    Single piston 701 mod

If it makes you feel better we just found this same setup when we pulled down a 2018 Mercedes G550 4x4 squared. Piston pin had smashed the hell out of the cylinder as the engine kept running somehow. That engine is $80k wholesale from the dealer though.

    Changing CDI changes jetting requirements?

Just found out they are $400 new. Just kidding! I'll keep trying used ones haha

    Changing CDI changes jetting requirements?

Lots of good options here. I guess I'm gonna take it out again and try tuning it a little more and see what happens. If that doesn't work then I'll probably pull the cover and check the stator. We just tested the stator when diag'ing the lack of spark that turned out to be CDI so I'm hoping...

    Changing CDI changes jetting requirements?

Ok I know its not a superjet but its a 62t 701 so basically the same thing lol. My raider lost spark. Thing was a tank running perfectly for the 4yrs I've owned it. Eventually traced to a bad cdi. When I pulled the bad CDI out, I found it was a 6m6 unit. I put a 62t CDI in. Now it runs poorly...

What causes the bendix not to engage?

My ski just started doing this. It would crank for a sec, then starter spin noises without cranking, then it would crank again all without letting go of the start button. Put a used oem bendix in and now it just makes starter noises with no cranking at all.

Stator cover gasket, yay or nay?

Anyone just run some rtv to seal up the stator cover or is the gasket required to seal it up correctly? Yamaha 701.

    Record Superjet sales!

If they are selling all these new superjets they are gonna need a lot of new B pipes. Someone get Factory Pipe on the phone.

'Blaster 61X weak bottom end power after rebuild

Of course your superjet hits harder, it weighs less and has a much better pipe. Your prop is a little steep for your setup as well.

How many people want a factory pipe !

Not here. Market is saturated and they are worthless. Ski's don't die in the dry climate/no salt water so they just pile up.

How many people want a factory pipe !

The difference here is you can get a aftermarket 550 pipe, with the rest of the ski attached, for less then a used B pipe for a superjet.

How many people want a factory pipe !

That's the thing though. The tooling has been made, and paid off, for decades at this point. Every pipe they make it pure profit. Doesn't make sense to just have it sit around and not make them money.

How many people want a factory pipe !

You shut your w**re mouth you! [joking, kinda :)] They are already stupid expensive for what your getting if you ask me. All these laydowns selling for more, that's crazy to me. Bunch of rich folks into standups it seems.

    dual 44s on 701

Seadoo used dual 46's on the 946 motor as well. No idea if those work on Yami's or not. If I wanted bigger carbs the biggest I'd go is the oem dual 44's from Yamaha until I got into aftermarket engines. Once you get some real power going dual 46's would be my choice until you need the big boy...

    Vforce3 reed valves SJ

Reeds won't hurt but I doubt you'll feel much of a difference with the new ones. I run carbon tech for the price.
