Hmmm.. Your guys' 08's must be different.. I adjusted my friends just fine... No binding or bottoming the cable at all..

Agreed on the steering... If anything speed it up by moving the cable ball out to the next hole on the turn plate.. You may have to thread it with a 6mm x 1.0 tap, but the hole is already there and it makes a HUGE difference... My friends 08 wasn't threaded and I haven't seen a newer one yet to...

I am not sure on a aftermarket pole... I had to trim the end of the pole at the mount end to clear the pole bracket.. And the cable comes out on the wrong side for a SJ than a Kawi.. Not ever really paying attention to a SJ aftermarket pole I am not exactly sure how the cable runs or anything...

I have a stock length on mine pre-07.. 08-up are factory 3" shorter... I think I may cut a couple inches out this winter... Its shorter than my stock kawi pole was, but I think I may like shorter..

ya for sure.. I was on a time crunch and was off the water just after Crab got on the water.. I had 30 min to ride then haul azz back to the cabin for the parade before they closed my road.. Or I would've just followed Crab and Gasgas around...

a 9/17 skat impeller.. maybe a timing adv kit, quick steer plate..
