I sent them a brain years ago for their free diagnostic. They sent it back with some unremovable sticker on it saying it was bad. I'm sure if it was fixable they would have gave that option.

It's got an aftermarket tail section on that stock pipe that increases chamber volume and adds torque. And if you knew what to look for, you might have seen the gas spraying back out the carb top when those bad reeds were stuffing the crank case pressure back thru the carb
3099 is missing the threaded adjustable cable holder to stop the cable from just coming thru the hole. I've made a lot of trim setups. You can use the ends off old throttle cables . If you smashed that hole with a hammer so the cable housing can't fit thru it, it would work too.
