A couple of things I notied about the rrp pole even after I read what people were saying... The ski will turn itself fully upside down 99% of the time when let go in the surf (providing it's not just sitting there the right way up). This also happens a lot in flat water when trying flips...

One you have the bottom nice and smooth, I would hit it with a think payer of epoxy, like West System and smooth it out if needed. Get some high fill primer, bang it on and then use some flowcoat over the top, a few layers if you want it thicker. The problem with painting gelcoat on is that...

If it's the one I'm thinking of, yes, it happened at Seaworld on the Gold Coast, Australia. Not sure on the details, but I'm pretty sure there's no more Superjet's at Seaworld anymore.

If you have a heat gun heat the pistons up enough that the pins slide out. I do this all the time and have never had a problem, even on old stubborn gudgeon pins. It saves the rods/bearings from damage when you're whaling on the pin with a socket extension and a mallet!

I run mine in the surf almost every ride. I have the brain exposed as well as everything else. The only things that can go wrong are the earth connections, shorts on the plugs/caps and shorts between the coils and mounting plate. These problems can be overcome by using di-electric grease...

This is a good idea....I never thought there was enough room, so I did the same. I also squared off the bottom corners inside the foothold so the turf and underpad sit in there better without rounding up.

Team Scream or Jetworks would be my choices. I'm not sure if either of these guys have a dyno, but they will make ure everything is how it should be. From there, you just need a good tach that updates a few times a second and tuning will be a piece of cake...

Deka etx16l....been using with a digital TL for a year or so. Have run 3 tanks of fuel on one charge. I've never missed out on riding from the battery going flat. Most guys in OZ run this one too.

It my look like a rip of the RRP pole, but you have to remember there were a lot of other twin tube designed pole made at home by other people....RRP weree prob just the firt ones to mass produce and patent the part. I'd like to know the weight of the SB pole versus the RRP pole.

I'm keen to see how this goes....Art has built an engine for me (poor economy means I'm still paying for it!!!) but mine is a 6mm big bore running 48mm Blackjacks, I'm a little bit nervous about riding it when it's all done...It should go well with the XFT hull Sergio built for me... Nobody...
