I htink your better off spending time/efford to get the intake air as cool as possible because the little time its actually in the cases i doubt the lake water cooling the aluminum will do much. In the summer the water temps were I ride in WI are only 15* or so different from the ambient temp...
any narrow body watercraft on water is only relativly stable to each other. Maybe see if you can test ride both of them. Price for the 550 seems a bit high as well even up here in the north were the skies are not as common. If both sellers are stand up ppl there isnt a reason you can all meet up...
94/95 are the SN 701 w/ the 61x engine some ppl prefer. 96-2007 didnt chance much body or engine wise. Maybe some carb changes and color changes but those years all the the same I am 99% sure. cheaper alternative would be a pre 94 ski w/ a 650 engine which isnt bad and has the potential for a...
I have not checked in a while (price wise) but what prevents just using the basic cargo rack from Harbor Freight for a cooler or some gas cans? That way its universal for more than just one application incase you have to haul a deer or something and dont have a need for the hauler in the middle...
have you ran it on the trailer giving it a decent amount of throttle? maybe run some seafoam through it to get some extra white smoke action. also once you get close use your hand to feel the exhaust pulses leaking out.
Well put and as I am sure you know every forum has individuals that will fight to the bitter end. I got your carrier last week. It looks great and more than likely i will be modifying it to use my 1 1/4" bike rack which is a great idea so thanks!
I also like yours because its not heavy at all...
yeah if you dont mind. Is it one of the snowmobile lifts with a screwjack on it? I was planning on building one before fall to make working on my snowmobile easier. I suppose down by you that might be foreign talk!
once its out get in the tunnel. scrap all the old sealing material off so when you stick it back in your can seal it up good. i forgot the pump shoe was part of the pump on those skies until this thread.
i think i used a 14/19 or something like that when i did the swap in mine 7 years ago. since you have that much more power now you will hav to make sure the pump setup is in near perfect condition. pull it check the vanes for large chips etc. Whatever impeller you get verify the impeller to...
with how much b pipes are going for now days you could probably find someone to trade plus cash! Ive never cut a b pipe but cut a few west coast 550 kawi pipes down years ago.
i think by adding the same sleeve with a nut welded on the bottom of the stinger tube the user could loosen it and switch sides for the bow eye mount. A simple 1/2" bolt to hold everything in place shoudl be plenty or maybe a couple recess holes drilled in the adjusting tube for the head of the...
well i bought his and it wont be here until tuesday. I want to ride this weekend so i called up speedy metal and am making one for $55 in materials including hardware for mounting and such. probably wont be nearly as nice as his but will get the job done!
i tried to find the one with the bow mount but couldnt seem to locate it for the life of me. just pictures that took me back to forums and such but no links. Might end up adding one to mind that is on the way. Anything is better than nothing holding the front outside of the straps.
