It's been a while since I have been down there, but you could either launch at st andrews state park which you have to pay to get into the park. or, we used to drive down jan cooley drive, which dead ends into the bay and you can park and launch in the sand. don't know if you can still do that...

I'm 54, started riding a 440 in the late 80's, then a 550, then a fx1 in 97. I also ride a 97 ktm300, a 02 suzuki bandit 1200, and force 5 sailboat. I can ride all of them better now than I did when I was younger.

obviously you have water, where it came from you have to determine. get fresh gas, make sure there's no water in your bottom end and do a leakdown test on your motor, and your cooling system. replace that gasket.
