    waterbox questions

Pointless mod. Louder, probably makes less power(definately not more power), and is not significantly lighter. If you asked this same question about a 550, everyone that recommends the x-metal waterbox would tell you not to get it. Charles

    Big Bore Wannabe

There may be one at the fall lanier ride. If not, for sure in the spring! Charles

    Big Bore Wannabe

I'm running the ADA billet(old style) cylinder with 48 BJ's. Ryan (freeride05) has the 4mm and he's running 46mm BJ's. His boat feels exactly like mine. Same character and feel with just a tad less everywhere. Very close, though. Charles

    Big Bore Wannabe

Depends on who you buy it from..... I paid around $1100-1200 for my billet 6mm crank from Crankworks new this January. The complete 4mm stroker kit Art builds is about $2000 give or take. You supply the cylinder and cases. This includes an ADA head and domes cut to match. Amazing...

How's this for a nights work?

He's referring to the lab seal. Labyrinth seal. It doesn't actually physically seal each cylinder from the other. It effectively seals each side by making the air path so geometrically complex that the conflicting charges don't have time to reach the other side before the pressure reverses...

    Mag Pumps Are Heavy

The prop I had in my boat that you rode at Lanier was a 14/23 w/stock nozzle and med cone. Bored nozzle to 83 and still runs out good. I also got a 13/21 and it comes on even sooner and still runs out good also. Hits a good bit harder than it did at Lanier. Using an 83mm nozzle with it also...

    Lightweight superjet

I don't see what's so unbelievable about that at all. Magoo made 190 hp with last years motor and is making 210 hp with this years. If he can do it, why can't Malone. Charles

    Dual 44 Mikuni observations

 I've followed this thread with some amusement for these long months. I find it interesting that with good compression, porting, prop, etc that it takes months to tune a set of OEM 44's. They should be super forgiving and easy to tune. The reason I said the popoff sounds VERY low...

    Dual 44 Mikuni observations

That sure sounds like VERY low popoff. I would think you'd have muddy response. I don't know what those normally run, but I ran 2.0/95 w/blackjack 44's. Have you tried higher popoff? Charles

    full spectrum 49mm carbs

Once again, I believe that's a misconception. According to who? Blackjacks are some of the easiest to tune, most forgiving carbs available. If you buy them straight from Jetworks, they'll be set up for your combination and you get awesome tech support from Art. Brazina is reportedly pretty...
