XFT Light Weight Hull or 5mm Lamey Stroker?..

I think you are correct about getting used to it. The first time out on mine I wasn't sure if maybe I hadn't made a mistake getting the hull. It rides nose high at first and is very buoyant so it feels a little goofy the first few rides. Now when I get on my SS boat I can barely ride it at...

    Cavitation

Almost any Yamaha dealer will have one in stock because it's common to many different boats. If you can't find one, remove the pump, leaving the wear ring bolted in and silicone it just as you would with old kawi skis and you'll be fine. Many of the factory race teams didn't even use the seal...

OMG!!!! What happened? Advice on rebuild and cause please!!!

I don't know if I'd get too freaked out looking for a really technical explanation. It sounds like you just blew a seal. Use OEM yamaha only and make sure they're in right. Two hours floating is plenty of time to get water in the motor towing or not. If the crank stayed immersed in water, it...

I just barely cracked the throttle and kept a close watch on the pissers also. I was more concerned with fouling the plugs than anything else. Charles

    Freestyle PV's

If you ever have the chance, ride around while looking at a good tach. You'd be surprised at how high your R's are. You'll hear a lot of talk about off-idle response. You can't really even ride a standup at idle, so they're really referring to response at 3-5000 rpm. At just above and below...

maximum piston diameter on a stock 68mm stroke?

That's about right on the cylinder price, but remember it comes complete with a girdled head and domes. I don't know who you're getting your crank price from, but that's about 300 high. Crankworks is only 13ish retail. Charles

Getting ahold of Chucky (Team Scream)

Why don't you put the 6mm Paul built last year for your new boat in it until you finish the WF hull?:dunno: I can't see just letting it sit there going to waste. Charles

There's the problem. Take that loud POS out and replace with a stock box. You'll make more power and will be not be a nuisance to everyone. Charles

a repaint from boring stock blue

I think 2500 is a bargain. Time is money and there is a lot of time involved in high end paint. You might even be selling yourself a bit short if the details are good. Looks great! Charles

No. You still have to remove the caps to get out the original screws. You can also get the Jetworks screws through Blowsion and any Hot Products dealer. Charles
