just keep riding. You will learn how to anticipate when you are about to lose it and make small adjustments to steering and throttle to keep from getting thrown. just keep riding and dont be affraid to get tossed.
Its all about the widened tray. it's the lazy mans jetski. It allows you to stay upright and make corrections to your balance much easier. You can gain over 5" of width!!! hehe
Its actually a 96' that was built for JK in 2002. I picked up the ski after it was used in a competition in Bali. It was disasembled and I put it together for the 2006 freestyle surf slam for the french rider Gil to ride. It ran great at the time and didnt appear to have any structural problems...
www.blowsion.com for parts. They'll ship anywhere
You will also need some hydroturf from www.hydroturf.com. The stock mats on a new superjet are super slippery and dangerous. Other then that, just go learn how to ride and have fun
i ran a mach 1 pipe on my sj for a long time. It produced as much power as the b-pipe but it cracked twice on me and would mist the engine compartment with steam and the motor wouldn't run. It was a very hard problem to diagnose. Also they are a pain in the a$$ to install and take out.
I hear ya. I hate gettin out of bed after a day of big surf riding. The jumping really does a number on me. It might get a little better but no matter how much I ride as long as i am pushing i feel like crap for at least a day.
rev it with the hood off but in the water if possible, against a dock or something. I've had one of the water chambers crack and shoot mist in the engine compartment. It would only exhibit the problem in water
Chances are you wont even have to touch the rear holes. I have a ported cylyinder, a bpipe, higher compression and a single 44 carb and didnt notice any difference after blocking off the front intake holes.
In sitdown:
1. Pierre Maxient
2. Eric Perreuad
3. Eddie Bettencourt
Congrats to Eddie for making the podium. There was no doubt in my mind that he could. So the only 2 americans on the tour podiumed in Spain. Thats awesome guys. Way to go!!!
stop doing fountains, is it really worth sinking your boat for? Use attwood bilge pumps and leave them on. Every rule I've used hydrolocks when left on and wont pump water. Block off the front air intakes on the hood and you will be amazed at how much less water your ski will ingest, just use...
Ludo just posted some results from Spain...
1/ Stampers
2/ Bufacci
3/ Ross C
Don't know what happened to Pierre but this puts Ross in 1st with a bit of a cushion. Don't know what happened to Eddie either. I'll post more as soon as i find out
it depends on what you're doing. For racing I'm sure a grate would help but if you are just out freeriding that thing is near impossible to slash or slide out in stock form. Putting a grate on it is just gonna make it more difficult.
