You never ever use poly resin. Id doesnt stick properly to the hull... Gotta use epoxy resin. Also your going to have to make something up for a tray... there isnt anything avalible off the shelf.

Also all 650, 701 61x and 701 62T engines use 6m6 bottoms.

Good to hear, my battery is new only used for one outting. But is a regular acid battery not a gelcell... Would that still be alright?

Im just about done with this mod and was thinking the same thing about the main liner... After the fact of making one out of fliberglass cloth. Where I work we use sheets of fanolic (sp?) the scrap is about 1/8" thick and way tougher then any fiberglass sheeting that size... if you guy are...

Hey man this is what id do if you didnt want to go 701. cut the head get a cheap 650 pipe 9/17 prop (which i have if you need one) reeds (ive got some boysens) top loader intake grate

I wouldnt second-guess yamaha designers. They must have had good reasoning to have them there. My vote is to reinstall them. Also use 3M 5200 marine adhesive. Perfect for what you need to do.

I drove 4 hours for my SXR, 3.5 for my stock SJ and 2 for my Mod SJ. One way. All well worth it.

I love my SXR for high speed runs, doing fast tight carves, overall the handleing is second to none. On the other hand the Superjet is probally 3/4 the handling of the SXR but doesnt stick to the water or plow through waves like it. And its sooo much easier to jump and throw around....
