I was wondering if you guys could help me out with a few things. I need some info on the following for a 701 62T swap:
-Fuel line routing/diagram
-Stock water cooling routing (stock everything for 701)
-Dual 38's Factory Tuning needles specs
-How do you connect a aftermarket primer...
You never ever use poly resin. Id doesnt stick properly to the hull... Gotta use epoxy resin. Also your going to have to make something up for a tray... there isnt anything avalible off the shelf.
Ive just got the crappy stock pump now and want to install something before I began trying some freestyle.... Can a bilge work with TL or will I end up stuck on the water with a dead battery?
Alright guys, Monday I'll get some... This stuff is really hard but flex's a bit like fiberglass does. Although I dont know how well it will cut with hometools... we have highspeed saws at work.
Im just about done with this mod and was thinking the same thing about the main liner... After the fact of making one out of fliberglass cloth. Where I work we use sheets of fanolic (sp?) the scrap is about 1/8" thick and way tougher then any fiberglass sheeting that size... if you guy are...
Hey man this is what id do if you didnt want to go 701.
cut the head
get a cheap 650 pipe
9/17 prop (which i have if you need one)
reeds (ive got some boysens)
top loader intake grate
I wouldnt second-guess yamaha designers. They must have had good reasoning to have them there. My vote is to reinstall them. Also use 3M 5200 marine adhesive. Perfect for what you need to do.
I love my SXR for high speed runs, doing fast tight carves, overall the handleing is second to none. On the other hand the Superjet is probally 3/4 the handling of the SXR but doesnt stick to the water or plow through waves like it. And its sooo much easier to jump and throw around....
wow! I just showed my gf this... my bedroom is in the attic with a 15ft antenna right outside the window, while shes always been worried about lightening now shes even more paraniod!. lol
